They Told Me To Connect With Nature by Simon Alderwick

they told me to connect with nature

I’m doing it

undoing years of separation

nature is a family

wind & rain & sun & weather

cold frost flowers shade

ever changing

always teaching

feelings are not concrete

nothing stays the same

& you will never have it figured

just when you think you know it

a leaf may fall to the ground

& a bird will spread its wings

or the wind may dance over the grass

& you will feel at ease
